tuesday is totally stooging me.. nothing bad has happened, and tuesdays ALWAYS throw me a curve ball, so i’m not sure what to think..

it was a really good day.. i woke up from really interesting dreams feeling refreshed and alert and headed off into the city to catch up with pox and lyndall for starbucks goodness.. we ended up getting lunch too, which is always an awesome idea cos food is my most favorite of all things to cram into my mouth – we got katsu don, which i haven’t had in AGES and can’t understand how i’ve been living without it.. it’s funny, it’s made up of things i generally don’t like ( pork, onions, egg – ick !! ) but i loooove it.. tho after seeing the tasty aubergine dish L was served with i kinda think i’ma try that next time :9

i also picked up some souvenirs for a private swap i’m doing.. i went to A LOT of different souvenir stores in town, cos so much of what they sell is just crappy and nasty looking, but in the end i think i’ve managed to stick to the budget we set out ( that’s a lie just in case someone i owe money to is reading this – i spent too much and anyone who believes otherwise clearly doesn’t know the power merchandise has over my wallet ) and i even found a postpak on sale featuring australian scenic pictures, which suits the theme nicely ^-^

it’s turned out to be a pretty heavy package, but i budgeted $20 for postage so i’m crossing my fingers that i can scrape in under that.. i think i’ll just charge the postage to my credit card with my eyes closed so i don’t have to scold myself..

i’m promising myself that i’ll only sign up for paper swaps from now on, so that postage will be loose change, but i’m very bad at keeping promises to myself..

i also finally did what psym’n has been teasing me to do for months now – bought myself a map of the city.. i get lost in the city center ALL THE TIME – i have NO sense of direction.. seriously, i once got lost in tea tree plaza for two hours desperately trying to find the exit i was looking for, and in the city i’m worse because i keep my head down to avoid making eye contact with members of the public..
so i found this cute little map of town that folds down really neat into my bag.. of course, when i used it today to navigate my way back to rundle mall from the map shop ( i’m not joking ) i had to start muttering to myself in a fake foreign accent to avoid looking like an idiot..

..

i get the feeling i still looked like an idiot, but at least it was more of an eccentric, ‘possibly rehearsing for a play’ idiot ( i don’t buy that either, but just work with me here.. ) than a ‘walking around on my own is just too much for me’ idiot..

i haven’t received my last workbook back yet in the mail, so i don’t have my cover sheet to send my latest one away and it’s due by monday.. okay, so technically it’s not actually READY to send away cos i haven’t WRITTEN anything in it, but still, if it WAS ready then it would be really inconvenient to not have the cover sheet to send it off with..

so there..
