tuesdays are traditionally the worst day of the week for me.. they just always manage to annoy me, but today wasn’t *too* bad..
it started out with cat showing me some things online that i really want to buy but can’t afford ( clearly he was being used as a tool of torment by grim tuesday ) and then i went to the post office to mail some swap-bots but i left one at home and forgot to put something into another, which is no big deal i guess cos it was a pretty full package as it was, but i would’ve liked to have thrown in some cell phone charms too – i’m sure my partner will live without them..
see, you’d think that forgetting things would be my own fault, but i can guarantee you that there was some tuesday influence there..
tho i did get to catch up online with penny, which is hard lately cos i’m not home as much and she only msn’s at work, and she told me great news about her film production and it looks like i get to go be a helper and an extra when they film in november XD

and i managed to finish off my first two ATC attempts which turned out really cute.. they’re meant to be for my first ATC swap-bot, but i don’t think i can part with them.. i feel like i should keep my first ones and maybe make two more for the swap that i’m not so attached to.. you can see them in my flickr photostream ^-^

last night i fell asleep while psym’n was playing his cricket game on my lappy.. he told me today that i kept complaining that i was hot and itchy, but i don’t remember any of that.. i wonder if i talk when nobody is around ? if an a-ko get’s itchy in bed and there’s nobody around to hear it, does she have a whinge ?

it would be just like me to complain in my sleep.. i love complaining, it’s what a-ko’s do best !

i love hearing other people complain too, it’s just fun.. hell, this morning i was complaining that i didn’t have any cheestiks – and then when i got some this afternoon i complained that i’d eaten too many !!

actually, back on the subject of sleeping, i was half asleep the other morning and i could hear this awful crunching and cracking sound.. it was horrible, and i wondered if jarvis had brought some of his kibbles upstairs to munch in bed.. it was only after i fully woke that i realized that it was ME making the sounds !!
*shudder*
i need to get a mouthguard or something to stop myself from grinding my teeth – it’s no wonder i wake up with such a sore jaw 😦
i’m so in love with alfonso that i’ma see if i can manage to cosplay as him, so today i’m starting with the head ( cos if i can’t get the head right then there’s little point in attempting the rest of him )
not that i actually have anywhere to -wear- the outfit if i manage to pull it off..

okaaaaay.. so i worked out that if i wanna make the outfit to scale then the head / mask is gonna have to be 1.2m tall.. that’s a lot of mask to carry on my little shoulders.. so um.. maybe not..
cat suggested i make an alfonso statue instead, which is a pretty cool idea.. and then we can be bros and just hang out in bunny suits together.. i guess if i can get the statue to look okay then it might inspire me to figure out how to make a 1.2m head work..

this is neat, so i thought i’d share it with you..
i buy nutella in those reusable, squat glasses that have different cartoon characters on them.. if you keep the caps, they’re a perfect fit for re-sealing half used tinned fruits, petfood, etc.. i know you can buy this sort of thing in kitchenware stores and the such, but i love the idea of finding uses for things instead of throwing them away..
it’s also pretty handy in my house, as all the storage containers i own are hello kitty, so i’m reluctant to store items in them that are likely to stain the plastic or enamel, such as the cherries pictured..
this makes nutella the most useful and least wasteful item i buy at the supermarket – nothing but the label is thrown away..

so i re-sealed my shower with that caulking stuph.. omg – the worst smell i have ever smelled ! i did it yesterday and my nostrils are still stinging from the stench of it..

HOWEVER it looks pretty okay.. i mean, it doesn’t really look like a professional job ( tho, it looks better than the original job, and that WAS a professional job.. ) but it looks neat, and smoothish.. i just have to wait i guess to see how well sealed it is.. i could tell the previous job was leaky cos mould would start growing under and behind the seal, so i’ll just watch out to see if the same thing happens to my job..

meanwhile, ordering my ring is sorta on hold atm cos psym’n reminded me that i don’t actually wear rings, and that i’d once said that i’d rather have an engagement barrette for my hair instead.. he doesn’t like that the ring i picked is harry potter related, cos he’s an anti-magic muggle, so he’d prolly rather i pick ANYTHING else..

my shower is leaking.. it’s clearly been doing it for a while, and now with two people in the house it’s getting worse..
it seems that the edges weren’t properly sealed when the place was built, and it sorta leaks under the tiles near the shower door and is being soaked up by the bathroom door frame so that’s swelling at the bottom and pushing the door out which is making it stick in the frame when i close it and has cracked the plasterboard around it..
not impressed..
so i’m broke, and claiming it on insurance was a huge headache ( i tried !! i tried so hard !! ) so now i have to figure out how to fix it.. i bought some of that white silicon stuph you use to seal with.. so according to the directions i just have to cut out the old silicon, clean the tiles down with turps or metho ( are they the same thing ? ) and then apply the new silicon without making a mess.. and then leave it for a couple of days to dry..
it seems hard, but i have to get it done.. if i stuph it up i’ma cry, cos i really really like to shower.. the shower is where i think about things.. where i cry about things.. where i sing and dance.. where i get clean..
*grrr*
it’s bad enough the bloody water nazi’s are telling me i should only be in there for 4mins at a time, but to feel guilty cos i’m ruining my house as well is really putting a prickle in my day..
